This is to recap the awareness week that was conducted in school from 2018 to 2020. We focused on the theme of dyslexia in 2018. As it coincided with World Down Syndrome Day, the students also researched and presented their learning on it. I worked with Disabled People's Association (DPA) to co-run the assembly programme and the experiential booth.

I also trained a Sec 3 class to join the advocacy efforts in Bowen secondary. They were brave considering that it was our inaugural awareness week. They chaired the assembly programme, gave morning presentations and 2 were involved in a video documentary by DPA.

The students' reflections were InstaWorthy! I remembered the 2 tech savvy students who helped to 'capture' the Ig reflections for the selection of the InstaWorthy Reflections - students who posted had to change their setting to 'public' for the stipulated few hours.
Grateful to the teachers who passed on their learning they received at the school wide professional development conducted by the learning support team. Success!
