The reason for part 2 was that there were so many meaningful moments that I want to remember. Truly grateful when I reflected on the increase in the number of people who were involved in conducting the inclusion week with each year. This is an indicator of the growth in inclusivity! I was heartened when I heard the reflections of this small group of student volunteers. My hope is for them to inspire others through their example and become inclusive leaders in society!
Behind the scenes:
The drama students had a go with the script. Using questions and reflection, I had them think about the message they wanted to share with the audience as we worked through the script with some modification. Overwhelmed by their enthusiasm spending their weekend on it! They even roped in their friends to help out who did such a fantastic job. Filming of the skit was done during the March school holidays. So proud of them!

Interview with Niles who came back for filming.

We recorded his presentation as well - watch it on the live stream video!
Filming the morning student presentations as we couldn't do it 'live' due to COVID. Proud of F who volunteered his services as he was trained in his CCA to handle AV equipments. I valued his heart most of all in wanting to learn and advocate. He set the example for other students in the NT course - yes, yes, yes! C in the photo was the group leader of the student volunteers. It was a personal learning for myself of the importance of creating platforms for students to learn and showcase their strengths. My gut tells me this applies to persons with special needs too.

Due to COVID, we had to switch our assembly programme online using livestream. Nothing beats real time learning of 'agile adaptability' especially in a resource constrained environment. Survived and thrived against the naysayers too! HAHA. We were the first to try this in school! :)
